When do the citizens get to grade Council’s performance? Oh yeah, November. Good bye council members. You have turned Colorado Springs into the laughing stock of the nation.
What’s the matter? Didn’t like what Penny had to say? Are you telling me you clowns are more knowledgeable than a pHD with an outstanding track record? So now you pick a yes man who will nod his head and say “Sqawk! Yes Council…Yes Council…Sqawk!” Guaranteed Cox is going to lay low to protect his own job.
This town is doomed.
John,
The next scheduled municipal election is April 2011. Here’ s a link to the City Council seats that will be up for grabs at that time:

Daniel
Not surprised!
I will also be voting out each and every council member whose seat is open. Mr. Chacon, your link just links back to this article.
Ender,
Thanks for letting me know about the link. It’s been a rough week!
Here’s the right link:

Are the same council members that contributed to the above article the same ones who rated her a “C-”.
It is hard to believe that not each and every council member would not know that she would be walking out the door after such a poor evaluation.
Why would they led the Gazette to believe that her performance review was any less than favorable?
Council Evaluations (overall scores)
Lionel Rivera F
Larry Small F
Scott Hente C
Darryl Glenn B
Sean Paige C
Bernie Herpin F
Tom Gallagher C
Randy Purvis D
Jan Martin F
More proof that grade inflation lives.
Fawkes you have to be grading on the curve , a huge curve, to place Glen at the top . Get Real .
Lionel Rivera F
Larry Small B
Scott Hente B-
Darryl Glenn D
Sean Paige B+
Bernie Herpin F
Tom Gallagher C+
Randy Purvis D
Jan Martin C
I’d give the entire council an F.
Of course chacn is right there with them.
Let’s grade Council now:
Lionel Rivera: “F-” (Unethically corrupt is NEVER a good leader)
Larry Small: “F- – -”(Too bad to even talk about…WORST of the
whole lot)
Darryl Glenn: “D”
Scott Hente: “D-”
Jan Martin: “F” / (possibly: “I” for incomplete/NO service or duties to city)
Tom Gallagher: “B” (needs work on speaking/oration skills – but his
head and heart are in the right places)
Randy Purvis: “F-” (sour, dour doesn’t make a good “leader”)
Oops, I hit “send” before I got to grade Bernie Herpin or Sean Paige…
Bernie Herpin: “C-” – (Bernie means well but is easily “swayed” by
Groupthink…and goes along WAY TOO EASILY
with the “big-bullies” of the group: Small and
Rivera…and he’s WAY TOO afraid of Purvis)
Sean Paige: “C-” – (Paige is by far the new and ONLY “go-to” person
for the press….but Sean, even though he’s not hard
to look at has to realize that being a “leader” of a city
means a lot more than just getting his face on TV
and quoted in the paper “he used to work for” with
his picture” – he HAS to answer to the PEOPLE
and that means ALL of the PEOPLE/CITIZENS of
the city – and not avoid/ignore the ones you don’t
like or want to have to answer to.)
Gary Busey needs to stick to acting instead of managing a city!
notsomuch,
You crack me up. Have a great weekend.
Daniel
Based upon this article and her recent ratings Ms. Culbreth-Graft will not be working anywhere as a city manager anytime soon. I am curious about how much influence the city council has had regarding any changes she attempted to make. If they shot her down every time she tried to implement a tough budget cut decision then I would think this council is the problem. I hope she tells us her side of the story soon. Just a thought.
The departure of the City Manager is a welcome 1st step, but only that. The Mayor & his 5 dwarfs are, collectively, something less than anyone so we should not be disappointed about what comes out City hall in the next year. When you expect nothing, you will never be disappointed! THE SALVATION OF COLORADO SPRINGS WILL ONLY COME AT THE BALLOT BOX!
Ditto, Citizens 1 has it nailed!
Citizen1 says:

citizen1 grades Gallagher a B? Let me guess citizen1… you probably think Penny was irresponsible financially for defaulting on her house in California right?
Gallagher is homeless you buffoon! He does not have a job! He can’t manage a checkbook! You think he’s the best choice on Council?
He’s gone in November. He will never get re-elected to anything in his miserable life.
Ask Gallgher about the birth of his daughter. Who was there to save her life? And now Gallagher says F them?
This guy is done.
