“Yes, Darryl did provide a reference for me.”

Alissa Vander Veen, special projects manager for the El Paso County Clerk & Recorder, said today via e-mail when asked whether newly elected county Commissioner Darryl Glenn had recommended her for the job with the county.

Vander Veen, who was hired by county Clerk and Recorder Wayne Williams in January, had a consulting firm that specialized in campaign finance.

Glenn was one of her clients.
