“You could also say that it would take an Anthony Weiner-like lapse in judgment for a perceived liberal candidate to beat a conservative one in a Colorado Springs’ mayoral race.”
– Josh Dunn, a political science professor at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
Dunn said “it would have taken something close to a miracle” for Richard Skorman, who is registered as unaffiliated and was portrayed as a tax-and-spend liberal leading up to the May 17 mayoral runoff election, to have beat Republican Steve Bach.
Probably not…Bach’s multiple indiscretions both in business and his personal life were completely overcome thru outside money and the false facade of conservatism.
I’ve always thought there should be law banning men from appearing in public without their shirt. We make women cover up – why not make men cover up, too? Given the percentage of overweight men in this country, we’re being subjected to the nastiness of seeing moobs. If I have a choice, I’d rather be exposed to boobs than moobs.
I don’t know about that. After watching the “feeding frenzy” posts against Representative Lamborn,.. the last few days????? And what horrible crime or discretion did Rep. Lamborn commit? He joined 8 (or was it nine) other congressmen in sending a letteer to a committee to review spending for renewable research by t he Dept. of ___________.
That deptartment also funded a lab in Golden. I joked that all of the posters must eork or have relatives who work at that lab. The posts were t hat unbelivable. You would have thought that Rep. Lamborn was a murder or something. I just coulld not believe the posts. And because he wanted to eliminate an unproductive funding situation.
I wish Mayor Bach well. I am hoping that he doesn’t follow the same scorched earth economic and social policies that his state and national masters advocate. Oh, by the way, it’s the 10th anniversary of the Bush tax cuts. There’ll be cake later. If you’d like to see how well America has fared under these laws, the piece in Mother Jones is well worth reading. http://bit.ly/l8aYLm
