“Hurray! That’s all caps. If you want, for our religious community, you can quote me as saying, ‘There is a God.’”
– anti-tax activist Douglas Bruce said when asked for his reaction to news that City Attorney Patricia Kelly was retiring Sept. 30.
Bruce, who has sued the city many times, has been highly critical of Kelly in the past.
There’s no love lost between Bruce and Kelly.
In the past, Bruce has called Kelly a “bad woman” and a ”lawless city attorney.”
Ok. This is serious stuph. When we make the ‘Big Time’ (SNL), who will be cast as Doug Bruce?

Considering his numerous failed relationships with the distaff here and abroad (pun intended), Bruce’s comments regarding any woman can’t be credible.
I am not sure he has ever been with a woman so how can he respect them?
He felt the same animosity toward his female County Commissioner replacement Amy Lathen, city clerk Kathryn Young, Sally Clark, Colorado House debate chair Kathleen Curry (who shut him off with “how DARE you”), a CSIndy reporter and blind date he called homely & bucktoothed, and no doubt a dozen eastern European wannabe brides who rejected him. Oh, and remember those bouquets he gave to every female state House secretary before his infamous kickoff, wanting to have them find an office larger than other reps.
Note his pious wave to the ‘religious community’ and invoking God’s name, as if it’s consistent with not wanting to be photographed during prayer or his website statement about his ‘mission from God’.
And contrast it to his attempts to discontinue opening prayers during his reign as county commissioner.
