We got bamboozled by the doc and the hospital board. Grin and bear it.
Outrageous. The next election cannot come too soon – so We the People can “move forward” and vote out the current Council.
And let me stress that almost every Memorial employee is personally and professionally repulsed by the fact that Larry and the Board pulled this trick. After months of telling us that he was part of the team, Larry ended up
lacking the integrity to do the right thing. He took the money and ran. This is humiliating. Shame on Larry. Shame on the Board. Shame on the two or three employees that helped this happen.
Its is a shame, He ruined the place, tried to make it his own with the tax payer scare tactic, then spent million on Singer his agenda guy from Chicago? Yep the employees got to watch a pay for performance video saying getting more money doesnt make you a better employee, see at the hospital the ceo is a failure and get 1.5 million. oh well who knows what next if this lease gets passed, we know pera is gone.
I would expect an explaination like this from a convicted deadbeat.
I can not stress enough every one on city council is the cause for this mess.
So Daniel, what are you going to write about when this all blows over and MHS(UHC) is no longer required to bow to your every need. You may have to look for a new job yourself since you won’t have the hospital to pick on.
Steve, you are right that the Gazette (and Daniel Chacon in particular) will have much less to write about. The new healthcare system will basically be private and they won’t have to bow down to every single Gazette request for information. On the other hand, the poor management at Memorial is what caused all of this mess. The Gazette, and various politicians, are merely exploiting the many missteps (and that’s a really long list) that Larry and Co. put into place.
