Dear City Councilwoman Brandy Williams: Time to update your campaign website.
Williams, who is running for re-election against former state Sen. Keith King and former county Commissioner Jim Bensberg in the race for District 3, lists the Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs among her endorsers.
But Williams failed to secure the HBA’s endorsement this year.
Granted, Williams includes the HBA among the organizations supporting her on her old campaign website.
But one of her competitors — King — landed in hot water this week when he listed county Commissioner Sallie Clark as a member of his advisory council.
It’s true that Clark served on King’s advisory council. But she did so when he was in the Legislature.
“Sorry for the confusion, Sallie Clark,” King’s campaign manager, Daniel Cole, said on Facebook.
“Keith’s page is currently undergoing a transition from a Legislative website to a new Council website, which has been built for a couple days, but which has lain dormant as we worked out networking issues.”
Clark, who is friends with all the candidates, asked that her name be removed.
Ms Williams has lost support from Republicans and now the political groups aren’t endorsing her. She’s just moved into a district she doesn’t know a thing about. Not looking good for anyone not on Mayors Bach puppet list.
Brandy Williams is quiet and mousy. She is no leader. An unemployed engineer is just that, unemployed.
If the HBA is not endorsing her that is a big reason to vote for her. We need to keep the Dictator Bach in check until we can vote him out of office.
At least Williams shows up for meetings and asks thoughtful questions. Angela Dougan doesn’t bother to attend critical meetings and certainly does not deserve reelection to city council.
Amen to Louie and Neil…
I agree with Neil- Brandy has been thoughtful and respectful of the public. Dougan on the other hand acts like a spoiled 13 year old. Update your website Brandy- and start stating some of your positions so people can get behind you!
I don’t appreciate when someone moves into a district just to keep a power position. Williams and Bensberg don’t have the heart of the area since they haven’t lived there. They need to run in their own neck of the woods.
As opposed to the Daily newspaper that doesn’t update its site for 4 months??
